To make your stay at EDELWILD even more carefree and connected with nature, a new benefit will be available from 1 November 2026.

With the introduction of the new uniform visitor tax of EUR 4.50 per person per night (for adults aged 18 and over), the whole of Carinthia opens up to you.

Free guest travel on the entire public transport network is already fully included.

Our youngest guests under the age of 18 do not pay the visitor tax – and of course they can still enjoy free travel throughout the region.

Valid for your entire stay:
The ticket accompanies you from the very beginning – it is valid from your arrival day through to your departure day for an unlimited number of journeys.

Simply hop on:
If your ticket is checked on a train or bus, simply show the QR code on your smartphone or in printed form together with a photo ID.

Leave the car behind, listen to the sound of the forests and explore Carinthia's mountains and lakes in a relaxed, traffic-free way.

To enjoy your EDELWILD getaway in complete relaxation from the very first moment, please remember to stock up on provisions.

There are no shopping facilities directly in the alpine area, so it is best to buy groceries, treats and toiletries comfortably in the valley before making your way up.

The key handover takes place either personally through us or, for maximum flexibility, via the key safe directly at the entrance.

You will receive your personal code conveniently via WhatsApp on the day of arrival.

Your EDELWILD getaway begins with a relaxed drive via Koralpenstraße.

From the Wolfsberg Süd motorway exit, it is only around 15 kilometres to the chalet.

Simply follow the signs towards Koralpe. The well-developed mountain road takes you directly up to our idyllic Koralmdorf.

Four private parking spaces are available directly at the chalet.

If Frau Holle treats us to plenty of snow, you are of course welcome to park directly at the chalet for unloading.

Afterwards, we kindly ask you to move your car to the paid car park about 200 metres away, which is free of charge for you.

This helps ensure that the overnight snow-clearing service can work without obstruction and that everything is perfectly cleared for you the next morning.

You will receive an EDELWILD parking pass for your vehicle(s) for the duration of your stay.

Please let us know how many vehicles you are bringing and their registration numbers.

To make sure your drive up to Koralmdorf is safe and relaxed from the very first minute, we recommend full winter equipment for your vehicle during the winter months.

Because the weather at 1,600 metres above sea level can change quickly, suitable winter equipment is essential on heavily snow-covered days.

In extreme winter conditions, the authorities may temporarily require snow chains for the ascent.

Please therefore also carry suitable snow chains in your boot just in case.

This way, you are perfectly prepared and can reach your retreat safely.

Information on winter tyre requirements in Austria:
Please remember that winter tyres are legally required in Austria from 1 November to 15 April.

To ensure that you can enjoy a safe and relaxing stay even on deeply snow-covered winter days, the access road to the chalet is reliably cleared by our winter service.

We also make sure in advance that the entrance area is freshly cleared for you on your long-awaited arrival day.

If heavy snowfall continues during your stay, we kindly ask you to keep the entrance area free of snow yourself.

Two snow shovels are available directly at the house – so nothing stands in the way of a little sporty winter workout in the fresh mountain air :).

As a guest at EDELWILD, you enjoy preferential service in every respect.

To make your getaway even more complete, we bring first-class relaxation directly to your fireside – after a day in ski boots or hiking shoes, there is no need to leave your chalet for a little extra indulgence.

To make your departure day as relaxed as possible, we kindly ask you to take a quick look at the following points:

In the kitchen:
Please place any remaining dishes in the dishwasher and switch it on before you leave.

Around the house:
Please close all windows as well as the parasol in the outdoor area.
Also remember to close the fence at the entrance properly using the rods.

Waste:
We kindly ask you to dispose of your collected rubbish in the large waste containers provided directly at our car park before heading home.

The key:
Once everything is ready, simply return your chalet key securely to the designated key safe before departure.

For your stay at the EDELWILD Almchalet, we kindly ask you to provide a security deposit of EUR 300.00 when the keys are handed over.

You can pay the amount in either of the following convenient ways:

By instant bank transfer at check-in

Refund:
After your departure and the proper handover of the chalet, we will of course refund the amount to your bank account within 2 working days.

When you arrive, the chalet will already be comfortably pre-heated.

Thanks to sustainable district heating and the combination of underfloor heating and radiators, EDELWILD becomes a true haven of comfort even on the coldest winter days.

For the perfect alpine atmosphere, you also have a wood-burning fireplace with a glass front at your disposal.

Firewood is available on site free of charge – make yourself comfortable!

In your fully equipped kitchen, cooking and enjoying meals together becomes a very special experience.

You can look forward to a high-quality WMF fully automatic coffee machine with integrated milk frothing function for perfect cappuccino or latte macchiato, a matching WMF toaster and a WMF kettle.

High-quality WMF pots, pans, elegant cutlery and a well-equipped WMF knife block are also available in sufficient quantities.

Set your table with fine tableware from Ritzenhoff, while elegant glasses from Zwiesel and Leonardo provide the perfect setting for special moments.

For the finishing touch at the table, a stylish pepper mill from Le Creuset is also available – making every dish easy to season perfectly.

A particularly charming highlight for shared snacks is the antique-style manual bread slicer from Graef, allowing you to cut fresh bread in a wonderfully traditional way.

Your first coffee is already taken care of:

On arrival day, the coffee machine will be filled with fragrant whole beans.

Take your time to settle in and enjoy your first holiday moment.

As tastes differ and we want you to feel completely at home, we kindly ask you to bring your favourite coffee beans for the remaining days of your stay or buy fresh beans in Wolfsberg.

Our wellness area is an oasis of peace and relaxation.

So that you and all future guests can enjoy this retreat to the fullest, we kindly ask you to observe a few simple wellness rules:

Hygiene & cleanliness:
Please shower thoroughly before every sauna session. For hygiene reasons, always place a sufficiently large sauna towel underneath you so that no perspiration comes into contact with the wood.

Safety in the spa area:
For safety reasons, children may only use the wellness area when accompanied by adults.

A break for four-legged friends:
We love animals – but for hygiene reasons and to protect the materials, pets are unfortunately not permitted in the spa area or sauna.
In the meantime, they can make themselves comfortable in the cosy living area or outdoor space.

Careful use:
Please treat the area with care and leave it tidy after use so that the relaxing atmosphere is preserved.

So that you can settle in and relax immediately after your arrival, we have prepared a thoughtful starter set for the first days of your holiday.

You will find the following waiting for you in the chalet upon arrival:

For your first coffee:
The fully automatic coffee machine will already be generously filled with fragrant whole coffee beans.

In all 3 bathrooms:
For your first feel-good moment, a fine single-use care set is provided for you, consisting of shampoo, nourishing conditioner, shower gel and a cream.

You will also find an initial supply of toilet paper.

For freshness:
Soft facial tissues are provided in the living room and spa area.

For the kitchen:
Dishwasher tablets, washing-up liquid, fresh cleaning cloths and clean tea towels.

Practical kitchen rolls:
One roll is provided in the kitchen and another directly by the shower in the spa area.

As we want you to feel completely at home and we are a private holiday home, we kindly ask you to bring or purchase any additional supplies you may need once this initial starter set has been used up.

For your complete comfort and a relaxed arrival, everything at the EDELWILD CHALET is lovingly prepared for you in advance:

Your beds:
A freshly made, comfortable double bed awaits you in each of the three bedrooms – regardless of how many guests are travelling with you or whether you have booked for fewer than 6 people.

Your feel-good towels:
For each booked guest, one large bath towel and one standard hand towel will be ready for you upon arrival.

A small tip for packing:
As we do not provide bathrobes for the sauna area in our private chalet, we recommend bringing your favourite bathrobe from home for cosy wellness moments.

Between the comfort of your chalet and the pure relaxation of our spa area, a very special detail awaits you.

On a traditional, original Jogltisch table, we have exclusively set up a PC workstation with high-speed internet for you.

We know that this is not meant to become a classic home office – your time at EDELWILD is all about relaxation.

Nevertheless, this little spot gives you the elegant convenience of taking care of a few quick things with maximum comfort as you pass by.

So that you can stay fully charged throughout your holiday and explore the Carinthian mountains without a care, we have made sure you are well provided for:

For your e-bikes:
We have installed separate outdoor power sockets around the chalet.
After an extensive tour, you can conveniently recharge your bikes directly at the chalet for your next adventure.

Charging your e-bikes is of course completely free of charge.

Please simply bring your own bike charging cable from home.

For your electric car:
We are upgrading for you!
An electric vehicle charging station is being installed in the parking area and is expected to be available from November 2026.

To offer this service as fairly as possible, the electricity used for your vehicle will be charged at cost price.

To preserve the cosy atmosphere, healthy indoor climate and delicate scent of the wood in our EDELWILD Chalet for you and future guests, smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the chalet.

You are of course welcome to enjoy your smoking moments outdoors on the terrace or balcony – an ashtray is provided there for your convenience.

At EDELWILD CHALET, high-end technology and conscious tranquillity come together in perfect harmony.

For premium entertainment, there is a Bang & Olufsen Avant 55 TV in the living room as well as modern Samsung flat-screen TVs in the “Wipfelrausch” and “Talblick” bedrooms.

Simply log in to Netflix or your favourite streaming services using your own account details.

A Samsung TV is also available in the spa area to make your downtime even more enjoyable.

The “Almblick” bedroom is designed as a TV-free “Silent Room” dedicated entirely to your relaxation.

For the perfect sound throughout the chalet, two portable Bang & Olufsen Bluetooth speakers are available.

One provides gentle sounds in the “Almblick” room, while the other can accompany meals indoors or on the terrace.

Perfect for your wellness getaway.

In the spa area, simply log in to your own Spotify or Tidal account and unwind to your favourite playlist or relaxing music.
